JOHANNESBURG, SOUTH AFRICA – Soweto Hot Sauce, the leading purveyor of bold and flavourful hot sauces, proudly announces its successful co-sponsorship of the Global Pizza Challenge, a thrilling culinary event that took place from the 18th to the 20th of May at the prestigious Sandton Convention Centre. The challenge brought together aspiring chefs from around the country to showcase their expertise in pizza-making while incorporating the delectable Soweto Hot Sauce into their creations.

 

As a co-sponsor of the event, Soweto Hot Sauce aimed to highlight its renowned hot sauce’s versatility and unique flavour profile as an exceptional ingredient for pizza making. The Global Pizza Challenge provided the perfect platform to witness the ingenuity and creativity of talented chefs who showcased their culinary prowess by integrating the distinctively vibrant Soweto Hot Sauce into their pizza recipes.

With great pleasure, Soweto Hot Sauce announces Janco van den Berg, a remarkable student from Capsicum School, as the winner of the Soweto Hot Sauce “Best Use of Soweto Hot Sauce” award. Janco’s extraordinary talent and ability to masterfully incorporate the rich and spicy flavours of Soweto Hot Sauce into his pizza creation set him apart from the competition, making him a deserving recipient of the R5000 cash prize.
